"BABELE" TABLE

 Produced by Gufram, 1969

A sculpture that has become a stand for objects: it consists of a tree (with a marble base and metal trunk) whose leaf-shelves in lacquered wood can be placed in any position. Like other pieces of furniture and especially lamps from the same period, this table represents, visually as well as in its extreme maneuverability, a concept of total freedom and of assimilation to natural and primitive forms.
