GRAZIA & GUISTIZIA 2

Civitella del Tronto, 2012

Second  version of the letters forming the words "Grazia & Giustizia" (the official title of the Italian Ministry of Justice), made out of corrugated cardboard in Palermo (1968) and then taken during a happening to be destroyed in the sea. Here the work has been realized instead with other intentions and another meaning, and constructed out of nonperishable material, on a large scale (25 meters in length and 2.5 in height), and above all on the top of a great fort dating from the 16th century, which was not only the dominant architectural feature in that context but in particular the place where 'justice' used to be dispensed (or not).
