IN ABSENCE OF BODIES

1st Editon, Stromerein Performance Festival, Zurigo, 2011

2nd Edition, UMOCA, Salt Lake City, 2013

Although the semantics of this work refer to an installation of the late ‘60s (Laundry, Como 1969), the work itself is conceptually very different.  This time it is not laundry that, being hang out in the main square of the city, polemically ‘violate’ the context of the power.  Rather, it is a statement on the body in its absence, as the performance takes place in a dance and theatre festival where the body is always protagonist.  The presence of the body is suggested by the empty clothes that move in the breeze,  and its forms can also be imagined by the viewer through the garments function.
