ARCHIPENSIERO...OOOO

2012

Here irony is combined with a conscious and by now resigned acceptance of the power of nature over an architecture that seeks to bend it to its will, to subdue it, to shape it into forms that do not pertain to it. An attempt not foreign to Pettena, who had previously constructed an 'archipensiero vegetale' or "vegetable archi-thought" (Archipensiero 3, 2008), which was intended to last only for the brief duration of an exhibition.
